Working with developer Lightbox London the proposal creates two, five bedroom houses, which read as a single building within a generous sized plot in West Dulwich.
Taking reference from the more articulated Victorian dwellings in the immediate vicinity a contemporary but sympathetic façade of Masonry with depth and character is proposed.
Contrasting brickwork bonds articulate the spandrel panels between the windows, with bronze coloured aluminium panels creating further richness to each bay of the primary elevation.
Zinc tiles are proposed for the roof, the colour and texture of which compliments the brickwork and is seen as a contemporary interpretation of the clay tiled roofs which are prevalent within the area.
Internally, a split-level floorplate creates drama and generously proportioned living accommodation. All internal habitable rooms benefit from large windows which flood the internal environment with natural daylight and provide outlook onto the landscaped amenity spaces to the front and rear of the building.
